Data processing procedure applicable for visualisation of FM objects in GIS environment
Hájek, Filip ; Kolář, Jan (advisor) ; Štych, Přemysl (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the use of geographic information systems in issue of facility management. Its purpose is to show the advantages of this connection, mostly the visualization and analytical capabilities of GIS. The general issues of facility management are described in the first part of the thesis - what it is about, what it brings, the most important definitions and standards are provided there. Then it continues with theory about connection with GIS and answers the question, why this cooperation is beneficial. It continues with description of importance of GIS during whole life circle of real estate. The chapter is concluded by definition of another powerful tool in FM - CAD/BIM. The fourth chapter discusses one of the important tasks of FM - passportization and its meaning. The last chapter before conclusion focuses on the practical part of thesis dealing with campus of the Czech Post in Malešice. Keywords: Facility management, GIS, passportization, visualization

Methodology for 3D visualization of buildings and structure of geomaterials using industrial X-ray computed tomography - principles for ensuring the quality of tomographic data
Souček, Kamil ; Staš, Lubomír
Worked out methodology was created for the determination of the basic procedures designed for obtaining the best possible quality tomographic data using X-ray computed tomography. The methodology was created for the needs of 3D visualization of the geomaterials internal structure (eg. rock, soil, building materials, goecomposites etc.) and for the purposes of carrying out qualitative and quantitative non-destructive material analysis of 3D internal structure of investigated geomaterials. Obtaining the high-quality tomographic data represents primarily the process of setting various parameters of X-ray CT scanners, which are described in this methodology. The indisputable advantage and the novelty of this methodology present its non-destructivity and possibility for analysis of investigated geo-materials in three-dimensional space. The methodology has been prepared and it can be used for two types of X-ray CT scanners from Nikon Metrology NV company XT H 450 2D/3D and XT H 225 ST.
